This is one of our more recent endeavors and it’s currently on my mind since I was just trying to explain it to a friend. In a nutshell…….flouride is toxic, and teeth have the ability to remineralize(cavities can be healed!) with proper nutrition. However, glycerin, an ingredient in all toothpastes, inhibits remineralization. I know, you think I’m nuts! If you’re really interested, here is some info:
I’m not making this “remineralization” thing up, a quick google of “tooth remineralization” and you’ll find stuff like this: http://www.animated-teeth.com/tooth_decay/t4_tooth_decay_fluoride.htm, other than proof that “remineralization” is a very real thing, this article serves no purpose here. next.

You have to wonder about this man…….? Regardless, I totally agree with what he says: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5HWms5CvHZk
I got my first two cavities during each of my pregnancies. It’ll be interesting to see if that continues or improves as my diet has been getting better and I am now cleaning my teeth without glycerin. This is what I currently use: http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/teeth_cleaner.htm.
Still…….don’t forget to floss every day.
